UNESCO world heritage site – Komodo Island to charge US$1,000 for membership/entry…

It looks Jurassic Park….an island where Giant Komodo reptiles are allowed to roam freely. This is Komodo island in Indonesia, a UNESCO world heritage site. A Komodo lizard can grow up to 3m in length. 176,000 tourists visited the island last year to see the 2,800 free roaming endangered reptiles on the island. The new fee structure will raise over US$800M to help improve tourist infrastructure. But will it discourage visitors as a result? Check out this article…
