Does exercise lower my immunity or improve it? Should I exercise during this covid-19 pandemic period?
There is no scientific proof that exercise lowers your immunity after you exerted yourself. There are good long term benefits that exercise brings to your body.
However, if you exercise in an enclosed environment eg. A gym – be cautious about the hygiene of the place, the equipment, whether there is a safe distance between people there, etc.
If you exercise in an open park such as going for a run, where you are not in close proximity to other people, that may be a helpful thing to do. But do be careful that your journey to/from that open space may be your weakest link if it results in you being in close contact with others. To stay safe, perhaps exercising at home may be the best option at this point in time.
