This is a view of the large full moon hovering over Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore. The picture was taken from One Fullerton opposite.
The moon looks extraordinarily big this time and is called the Pink Super Moon because it is within 10% of the closest distance to the earth.
Singapore just implemented its “circuit breaker” measures to control the spread of covid-19. Hence, Marina Bay Sands was all quiet, except for the laser display of the Singapore flag. What a glorious sight to behold!
Elsewhere around the world, the Super moon was also spotted. It appeared extraordinary- probably because all the lock-downs around the world have resulted in lower pollution levels and clearer skies. Check out these lovely pictures of the Super moon from the Straits times.
