Shenzhen – High-tech city of China…

I visited Shenzhen in July 2019. This was the 2nd of 3 cities I visited consecutively in a week – Macau, Shenzhen & Hong Kong. These cities form the southern gateway to China. Check out this 1-minute video of Shenzhen that gives you a glimpse of what the city is like.

Shenzhen is just a short train ride from Hong Kong. You have to exit the Hong Kong CIQ and enter the Shenzhen CIQ after alighting from the train. Travelling in Shenzhen is a Breeze. Taxis prices are relatively cheap. Alternatively, the MTR is clean and fast too.

Shenzhen has a high tech shopping hub called HuaQiang district. Here, you find many buildings with countless number of shops selling phones, tablets, laptops, computers, digital devices and other electronic gadgets. Other accessories shops are also a plenty.

HuaQiang probably has the highest concentration of gadget shops in one locality in the world.

It is quite an experience walking through this district. I recommend a short visit if you are in that part of the world.

This is another shopping district – called LaoJie. LaoJie literally means old street in Chinese. It is one of the oldest pedestrian shopping Malls in the city.
