Kenyan runners stand to lose $67m from the Covid-19 financial crisis…

While the Premier League sees revenue impacts amounting to $1.6B, runners from Kenya are also experiencing income drops as races are called of and sponsorship deals are put on hold.

The runners stand to lose $67m as a result of all these covid-19 related issues. This is definitely a major blow. We certainly hope they will be able to sustain their fitness and training even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The world was hoping that a new marathon record below 2hrs could be set. Looks like this may be delayed.
