Set Realistic goals to lose weight successfully…

I was reading these articles regarding losing weight and find what they recommend very consistent with my personal experience of losing 5kg in the last few months. I think the key points are as follows:

  • Losing weight takes time. It is realistic to target a weight loss of 0.5-1kg per week or lose 5kg in 2-3 months. Anything that exceeds this puts undue strain on our bodies and may backfire.
  • Losing weight healthily requires adherence to a strict diet that calibrates calorie intake versus the nutrition required to maintain a healthy body. We should target <1,600-1,700 daily calorie intakes and let our bodies adjust accordingly.
  • The strict diet should be accompanied by sustainable and consistent exercise so that the body does not go into hibernation mode and lower its metabolism rate
  • Weight loss is a life-style change

I think using this app is a good nBuddy is a good way to keep tab on our weight. I have been using the FatSecret app for the last 6 months. I will not try this nBuddy app and see if it can provide the same results.
