The final flight for Qantas’ Boeing 747 Bigtop

Boeing’s 747 Bigtop jets have been around for 50+years. Qantas’ 747s have carried more than 250million people, including Queen Elizabeth II.

Yesterday, 22 Jul 2020 marked the last flight for their 747s as they flew to the Mojave desert in California. Most airlines have retired their 747 fleets for newer and more fuel-efficient alternatives. The covid-19 impact on air travel just moved Qantas’ plans earlier.
