The first coronavirus vaccine rolled out in Russia appears to be showing promise. This is the “Sputnik-V” announced by Russia 42 days ago. Let’s hope that it paves the way for more in Russia to be vaccinated and many other vaccines produced in other parts of the world.
Meanwhile, the WHO assessed that widespread availability of Covid-19 vaccinations will likely happen only in mid-2021. Looks like it will be a Long tail for industries seeking turnaround from their economic challenges…Regardless of when the vaccine is available, those on the frontline, those vulnerable eg. Elderly, etc. would be the first to be vaccinated. This sounds like the correct thing to do.
