Many industries and companies were impacted from the economic fall out arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. This time, it is a tech company affected – Waze. Waze provides a navigation app that provides info such as traffic congestion, speed cameras, etc. to motorists.

With ground travel reduced during the pandemic, advertising revenue also dropped. Waze is shutting its Singapore and Asia Pacific sales offices as it cuts 5% of its global workforce. So, not all tech companies will thrive. It all depends on the market that you serve. This is 11 Sep 2020.

Meanwhile, Topshop is also closing its last physical store in Singapore after 2 decades.
