Can you really talk to a plant? Well, this group of scientists appear to have been able to do so – using a mobile phone. They managed to send signals to a Venus fly trap to cause it to close. How is this helpful? Well, it could pave the way for plants to convey distress signals. Several trees in Singapore have fallen suddenly.
